Uchaguzi is a mobile and web based application that is designed to ease access to information on Uganda’s forthcoming general elections 2021.
It is chiefly designed to educate voters and sensitize citizens on the electoral process.
Uchaguzi provides easy access to information on Uganda’s general elections:• Locate your polling station and voter details• Meet Presidential candidates• View Candidates for Member of Parliament by district and constituency• Get a simplified breakdown of party manifestos and what candidates are saying about Key Policy Issues • Track Election results • Test your knowledge on the electoral process with an Electoral Quiz• Sync the Electoral Calendar to your default calendar and get reminders before and after important events• Get familiar with Polling GuidelinesCANDIDATESUchaguzi allows you to look at all Presidential candidates as well as Members of Parliament candidates.
Links to candidates parties, personal websites, and manifestos are also made available.
Members of Parliament candidates can be viewed by their districts and constituencies.
ELECTORAL CALENDARUchaguzi features an interactive Electoral Calendar that can be synced to your default calendar enabling you to schedule and plan electoral activities ahead of time.VOTER LOCATORYou will be able to locate your polling station by feeding your Voter Number or ApplicationID or National ID Number (NIN) into the EC Voter Locator.
Alternatively, search for your polling station using your name and date of birth!
(Electoral Commissions platform is used for this)POLLING GUIDELINESFind out more about the Electoral Commission’s voting process and the necessary requirements to enable you to cast your ballot.
